About

Designer turned Creative Director & Stylist.

Every since Megan can remember she has loved fashion, starting out with her foot peddle sewing machine at 8 years old making outfits for her favourite green haired doll & then her friends throughout her school years.

Megan studied fashion design at Wollongong & East Sydney Tafe's in the late 90’s and went on to work in the industry for nearly 10 years. She decided in 2009 to take a chance & branch out on her own with her own small label, Soot-ii Hothersall. After a few years & with the arrival of her 2 children, she took a break from the industry to focus on family.

In 2013 a friend studying photography asked her to help on one of his shoots with supplying some garments. The fire was lit & she discovered her love of styling and editorial photoshoots. Since then she has been creative director and stylist on many editorial features published in magazines both in Australia and internationally. She has recently branched out and has started working with up & coming Australian designers on their first fashion week shows showing her support to home grown new Australian labels.

She also has a love of repurposed fashion and in her spare time has taken to the sewing machine again & has started producing bags made from upcycled fabrics reducing the effect of excess in this world under her label Soot-ii Hothersall.
